1. Information we handle
clip-clips handles search keywords, selected language, and saved clip information stored in your browser. Saved clips store Twitch clip metadata in localStorage, not the video files themselves.
Servers and hosting providers may record logs such as IP address, user agent, access time, and requested URL for security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.
2. Communication with the Twitch API
To provide search, popular clips, streamer information, and game information, clip-clips communicates with the Twitch API from its server. Clip playback uses the official Twitch embedded player.
In the web version, the Twitch Client Secret is stored only on the server side and is not sent to browsers.
clip-clips does not provide Twitch login and does not collect Twitch passwords or user access tokens from visitors.
3. Advertising and affiliate links
clip-clips may display ads such as Google AdSense and Amazon Associate links to cover operating costs. Third-party ad providers, including Google, may use cookies or similar technologies for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and personalized advertising.
clip-clips may display ads from Adsterra. Adsterra may use cookies or similar technologies for ad delivery, measurement, and abuse prevention.
Google and its partners may use advertising cookies to show ads based on visits to this site and other sites. You can disable personalized ads in Google Ad Settings. For more information about Google's use of data in advertising, see Google's advertising technology policy page.
If ads are shown to users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, clip-clips will obtain required consent through a Google-certified CMP or another method that satisfies Google's requirements.
clip-clips does not provide Twitch API authentication information to ad networks.
clip-clips participates in the Amazon Associates Program and may earn from qualifying purchases.
4. Local storage
Saved clips are stored in your browser's localStorage. Saved clips are retained for up to 30 days and then removed.
5. External links
clip-clips may include links to external sites such as Twitch, Amazon, and advertising providers. The handling of information on external sites is governed by each site's own privacy policy.
6. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated in response to changes in laws, service features, or advertising provider requirements. Important changes will be announced on this page.
